Medieval City Scape

This is a photographic journey through the historic streets and landmarks of Medieval Kilkenny.  Visit the 14th century Rothe House and Gardens where you can capture the architecture and fauna of the time.   Stop to picnic there for lunch.

Wander the ancient streets and along the cobbled laneways unchanged for hundreds of years. Take portraits, group shots and selfies with the castle and the stunning river Nore as the backdrop. 

All our programmes begin and end with an hour long session held in the city central, Langtons Hotel.  Here you will be guided on how your camera phone works and key principles on composition. After you return from your photography trip you will be work shopping your images, learning to how to edit, use filters and special effects as well as guidance on printing your ideal images in the size you want.

Each experience requires a minimum number of participants. If this isn’t met, Helen will contact you directly to suggest a new date.

Please Note: In the event of very poor weather, this experience will be replaced with our Rainy Day Cultural Experience, ensuring you still enjoy a creative and immersive day in Kilkenny. Your booking will automatically transfer, and Helen will be in touch to confirm that this alternative suits you — or to offer the option of rescheduling for another day that better suits your needs.
